ASSIGNMENTS

In the 1970s and 1980s, CONEC’s main area of competence focused on natural environment inventories. Since then, it gradually shifted toward decision-making processes. Today, the company primarily deals with undertakings such as Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA), and ecologic (“green”) structure planning. In doing so, we rely on leading-edge, in-house expertise in a range of applied skills, like Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Sometimes, we partner with outside experts, on an as-needs-be basis, to ensure every project’s completed satisfactorily.

The company has applied the EIA concept to many different types of activities, including detailed planning, comprehensive planning, as well as to specific road and railway projects. CONEC’s equally equipped to handle projects in built-up settlements and in highly-sensitive, undisturbed, natural environments in rural areas.

Most of CONEC’s projects have been for local communities and other government agencies in Sweden. However, the company has extensive experience in the private sector and Hans-Georg Wallentinus has carried out a number of international projects in various parts of the world.
